Gunung Payung Beach is so beautiful—the location is between Nusa Dua and Uluwatu on the south ring road. You need extra exercise to get there. It is more than a hundred steps down to the beach, which is why this place is so hidden and far from the crowd. The steps are exhausting, but you’re treated to an amazing view. Gunung Payung Beach is secluded, and little is known of its existence. The wave was calm, yet very clear. You can see fish swimming about. Nice view of the cliffs. Exhausted yet very satisfied. If anyone likes quiet, beautiful beaches, do not miss them.
It takes at least 10 minutes to go down to reach Gunung Payung Beach. Sweat paid off with the awesome panorama. white sand, no big waves, green hill, & sun hidden on the west side of the hills. This place is recommended for people who want to meditate on the beach. As well as, if you are a fan of shell collecting, then you can find some cute shells. The beach is a bit rocky, but the sense of privacy is wonderful.
